SEAM INSPECTION ON AN AIRBAG

Goal: Seam continuity on an airbag

Components: Inspection table with a mobile inspection unit consisting of two sensors and proper lighting

The operator starts the inspection procedure from a push button. The mobile inspection unit, driven by a servo motor, moves on the whole length of the airbag, covering thus the entire length of the product. By mounting two sensors, the complete width of the product is being checked. The table length is divided into four equal zones, when reaching each of the zone, the sensors are triggered automatically capturing thus the complete area. Using the various image filteringand pattern recognition built in tools, the seam continuity is being analyzed. Using a printer, the date and time of the check is being marked on the airbag.
